Creating Something Beautiful from a Bad Situation
An epidemic has spread across millions of acres of Rocky Mountain Pine trees. Mountain Pine Beetles infest Ponderosa and Lodgepole pines en masse, cutting off the trees’ life sustaining nutrients and eventually killing the pines.
We collaborate with local sawmills and forestry services to efficiently transform otherwise unused beetle kill trees into elegant, high-quality furniture. The blue-gray color of the pine gives a dramatic natural character without diminishing the strength or integrity of the wood. We are proud to have helped pioneer this beautiful method of recycling beetle kill pine in the Colorado area.
